The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Syrian Arab Republic are working through back channels via the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to reach a political reconciliation, Almasdar News claimed on Wednesday. The publication said the Syrian government has been in discussions with the UAE, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia regarding political reconciliation. The first step in this reconciliation was the reopening of the UAE embassy in Damascus after closing more than six years ago.
