Rizki Amalia Affiat

I had worked in and on Aceh issues for more than 10 years as an activist at LINA (Acheh Women’s League) - an organisation for political empowerment of women ex-combatants and affiliated to the Free Aceh Movement - and a researcher at ICAIOS (International Center for Aceh and Indian Ocean Studies) based in Banda Aceh. Currently, with my colleague Peny Rahmadhani, we co-founded and are the co-executive directors of Integral Knowledge Asia (https://ik-asia.org), a research organisation on the issues of gender and international development for the global South established in 2020. I am also the editor of Islambergerak, an online progressive Islam media in Indonesia, and a steering committee member of INFORM (Interfaith Network for the Rights of Migrants) based in Hong Kong.   I studied my Masters in development studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London. In addition, I am a mom of five kids.
