Nicole Gerring

Nicole Gerring earned a Master of Arts and a PhD in Political Science from Wayne State University. She is the project coordinator for Wayne State University Gender Equity Advances Retention in STEM (WSU-GEARS), a nearly $1 million grant funded by the National Science Foundation to promote the hire, retention, and advancement of women and underrepresented tenure-track and tenured faculty. Her research has been published by the Journal of International Women's Studies, Defence and Peace Economics, and in two edited volumes: Women’s Contributions to Development in West Africa: Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Lives (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023) and Understanding New Security Threats (Routledge, 2019).
