Ernest Bai Koroma

Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma served as president of the Republic of Sierra Leone from 2007 to 2018. Prior to this, he served as a Member of Parliament from 2002 to 2007. He focused his presidency on infrastructure development, democratic good governance, economic reform, and post-conflict recovery. After leaving office, Koroma remained active in African peacebuilding initiatives and diplomacy. He is widely regarded as a key figure in Sierra Leone’s democratic consolidation.
