Cahyo Pamungkas is a researcher at the National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BRIN).  His research focuses on Melanesian studies and minority rights, particularly in relation to conflict, peace and development. His writings have been published by Pallgrave MacMillan, Springer, Suvannabhumi, Asian Journal of Peace Building, Journal of Peace and Development, Pacific Affairs, Indonesia and the Malay World, Journal of Integrative Environmental Sciences, and Journal of Intercultural Communication.
