Global Fragility Act to boost conflict prevention

The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee marked up and approved the Global Fragility Act (GFA) by a strong bipartisan vote of 18-4 on June 25. The Global Fragility Act (officially called H.R. 2116) requires the U.S. government – in collaboration with civil society – to develop a 10-year strategy to enhance stability and to reduce violence and fragility globally.
